What are cookies?
Cookies are files that our website can store on the computer, smartphone orother device you use to visit our website. We can only read cookies set by our own website, not cookies that have been set by other sites. We use various cookies to learn more about the behaviour of our website users and thus be able to offer users even better services. Many functionalities of the site’s publication system also need cookies to work. On our site, we also use add-ons and features from other companies (so- called third parties) that can set cookies. Data repositories of companies that collect data may be located outside the EU. You can find useful additional information, for example, about cookie-based advertising and protection in Finnish from EDAA’s guide.
For the time being, we comply with the current policy of the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority, "Article 205 of the Information Society Act (www.kyberturvallisuuskeskus.fi)", according to which "In Finland, a separate pop-up window is not required for informing about cookies or accepting them. However, the cookie practices must be mentioned on the website so that the user can get more information about them." You can find additional information in this document.
You can manage which cookies your browser allows, blocks or removes in your browser settings. The function differs between different browsers, and cookies must be managed separately for each browser (and device) you use. You can find the best instructions for managing and removing cookies by performing a Google search for “how to remove cookies” on your browser. If
the browser you are using does not appear in the search results, you can add
the name of your browser after the search phrase.
You can also influence the behaviour of some services on a service-specific
basis. Attached is a list of the services and functionalities of other companies
(so-called third parties) used on our site that can place cookies on the site
and how these settings can be changed.
